Wire Tapped

It's time to work the wire...managing your team throughout the season takes work, and we have provided you with the best free-agent acquistions for week 17....

*% of owned players is based off of ESPN leagues....

What can Aromashodu for you, in week 17?....

Devin Aromashodu, WR Bears (Owned in 0.2% of leagues):  Another Devin, playing WR for Chicago?  This Devin has become Jay Cutler's favorite target, with Hester still injured and Johnny Knox doubtful for next week, Armashodu makes a strong start against the weak Lions' secondary.  Not to mention, he has 236 yards and 2 TDs in the last 3 weeks, and that counts the 1 catch, 10 yard debacle in Baltimore.

Donald Brown, RB Colts:  (Owned in 58.1% of leagues):  What can this Brown do for you?  Well, how about win you a championship?  After the genius move of pulling out Manning and company this week, we know they will not play the Colts' starters for more than a half on Sunday.  Brown gets the Bills, who have phoned it in, and they cannot stop the run.  This is a slamdunk.

Jerome Harrison, RB Browns:  (Owned in 61.3% of leagues):  He is still available in a ton of leagues, and has 434 yards rushing with 4 TDs, in his last two games.  The Jags play terrible on the road, and in the cold, so we think Jerome can squeeze out one more big game for your fantasy team.

Brandon Jackson, RB Packers:    (Owned in 0.2% of leagues):  We won't see much, if any, Ryan Grant this week, so Jackson will be the primary ball carrier for the Packers.  He showed what he is capable of last week, with his 3 TDs against the Seahawks.  He is a great receiver out of the backfield, and should post a solid stat line against a Cardinals team that will have nothing to play for, IF the Giants lose to the Vikings in Minnesota.

Michael Tolbert, RB Chargers:  (Owned in 0.2% of leagues): The Chargers have nothing to play for, as the have the #2 seed all locked up.  We may see a little Sproles early, but we think the Chargers don't risk any of their starters.  It won't matter against the Redskins, who have completely quit.  Tolbert has good size, is an excellent receiver, and will run right over the Redskins.

Maurice Morris, RB Lions:  (Owned in 16.0% of leagues):  Morris isn't flashy, but he gets 20 plus touches a game, and should be able to post a solid stat line against the woeful Bears.

Lex Hilliard, RB Dolphins:  (Owned in 0.4% of leagues):  When Ricky was injured on Sunday, Hilliard totaled 86 yards and scored 2 TDs.  If Ricky can't go, Hilliard will be the primary ball carrier, and although the matchup against the Steelers isn't great, you could do worse.

Bears DF/ST:   (Owned in 53.9% of leagues):  Drew Staton?  Daunte Culpepper?  The Lions' QBs are terrible, and the Bears DF should be able to make some big plays.

49ers DF/ST (Owned in 63.0% of leagues):  They were one of our best DF pickups last week, and they make another strong start against the Keith Null-led Rams.  Expect the Rams to get dominated, with or without S-Jax.

James Jones, WR Packers (Owned in 1.6% of leagues):  We know the Packers do not have anything to play for in week 16, so we will see a lot of Matt Flynn, Brandon Jackson, Jordy Nelson and James Jones.  We also know that Mike McCarthy won't show his hand, as the Packers and Cardinals may play in the first round of the playoffs, but when they throw, James Jones will be the biggest recipient of the passing game.
